Here's a few of my favorite spots to go hiking in and around Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
Breezyvew to Chickies Rock

This is a great hike at Chickies Rock County Park. My favorite starting point is the Breezyview picnic area. From here I take the trail to the right of the vista into the woods. Follow the trail straight across the stream and along the ridge for nice tough, quiet hike. Once you make the final descent along the ridge, cross the next stream and follow the trail up the stream. Eventually you'll need to scramble up a side trail to get to the Chickies Rock overview area.
For the return trip you have two choices. To the left of the overlook there's a steep path going down alongside the cliff. Or to the right of the overlook the trail's a bit more gentle. Either trail will take you down to the old rail bed. Follow the rail bed for about a mile until you see the tail sign pointing you back up the hill.
Continue on a bit to check out the old railroad tunnel, but return back to this path to catch the return route to Breezyview.
